Get Inspired at These Indy Summer Events

May 15th, 2018

It's officially summer to us, and we've hand-picked a few events and places in Indy that inspire us to move forward, keeping creating, and treat ourselves better. These events and the Hoosiers involved are making Indianapolis a better place to live and we want you to be part of it!

Linking Indy Women

Businesswomen sharing their experience.

This monthly talk happens at The Hatch where female leaders spur conversation and provide a supportive environment for other women seeking personal and professional development. (Ahem, all of us.)

May’s speaker, Angela Smith-Jones, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development, will share her personal stories and business experiences with time for a Q&A session in this personal setting. Get there early for coffee and bagels!

May 16th 7:30am-9am
FREE - Miss this one? Follow them for future talks.

Local Artists at First Friday

One of our favorite First Friday spots: Open studios at the Circle City Industrial Complex.

Indy has a lot of great First Friday events to take in the local art scene, but you can make the most of your time at the Circle City Industrial Complex on Mass Ave. Grab a drink and guide yourself through dozens of open studios, talk with artists, and buy some art! Make it the first stop in your night out- you may end up shutting it down!

June 1st (First Friday of every month)
6pm-9pm
FREE - See Event Details!

IndyVolved 13

Get in formation from an organization.

I don’t think a better networking and personal growth opportunity exists. IndyVolved is an annual gathering in the heart of Indianapolis at Central Library, bringing together over 100 non-profit and community organizations to exhibit what they do and how you can help.

Come ready to learn more about whose elbow grease is turning gears in Indy and meet other professionals invested in the community!

June 14th 6-8:30pm
FREE- RSVP Here!

INDIEana Handicraft Exchange

Talk to makers making it work at this contemporary craft fair.

Surrounding yourself with creative people has been known to spark a few ideas. This free craft fair at The Harrison Center for the Arts is a great place to meander, chat with makers (a ton of them), and check out handmade goods that might motivate some making of your own.

June 16th Noon-8pm
FREE - Get more information!

Stems Flower Truck

Not an event per se, but a very cool woman-owned business in Indy.

We recently started following @stemsflowertruck to stay up to date on where to pick up hand tied bouquets & curated stems from a pretty French-inspired flower truck.

Find Katie (owner) parked around Indy with a beautiful assortment of flowers, ready for you to make your own bouquet. It’s a very fun, relaxing experience and a great way to treat yourself.

Follow Stems Flower Truck on Instagram to see where she’s parked>>
